🌐 Technology for professionals – a look behind the scenes

Our Wi-Fi project in Pierbach relies on state-of-the-art networking technology, provided in cooperation with our provider ECSnet.at.

  • 10 Gbit/s fiber: All municipal locations are connected with up to 10 Gbit/s.
  • UniFi infrastructure: Centralized management, high stability and security.
  • Wi-Fi 7 access points: Each AP with 10-Gbit uplink for maximum speed.
  • Secure hotspot & WPA3-Enterprise: Guests use a captive portal, clubs and partners log in via RADIUS server (UniFi).
  • Dedicated IP ranges & DHCP: Each club, the school, kindergarten, municipality and also the hotspot have their own IP range with their own DHCP server on UniFi.
  • Secured hotspot: The guest hotspot is additionally protected and uses its own DNS server for more safety and reliability.
  • Automatic VLAN assignment: Depending on user/group – for clear separation & GDPR compliance.
  • 5 public IP addresses: Clubs and organizations can get their own public address – ideal for servers and direct accessibility.
